Diaper Change Anyone?

When moving into our apartment [and knowing I was going to have to be changing two baby bums] I decided I wanted to create a cute and functional changing station. So, of course, I went to one of my best friends Piniterest! I knew I wanted something to go above the dresser. I also wanted to be able to hang the diapers and wipes on the wall because there isn't enough room on the dresser.
These are all the ones I found and liked:

The first thing I did was paint my pegboard. I painted it a light aqua blue. I then found some baskets to hang on the pegboard to hold the wipes and baby powder, ointments, and other miscellaneous items. Then with the help of my amazing hubby we made a wood frame and a basket to hold the diapers.
Then I got used some of the decor from the room to tie it back into the rest of the room. I love how it turned out and I wish I had taken more pictures of the process. I haven't finished the rest of the room, with a 20 month and 4 month old things don't get done very fast around here. I'll be sure to post pictures as soon as I get it done!

Hope y'all like it as much as I do!

Summer Field Trip: Braums Tour

Logan's sister Dina stopped in Oklahoma on her move from New Jersey to Nebraska. It was so fun to see Dina, Josh, Max, Tate, and Hope!
These triplets are SO much fun!

Remington wanted to get in on the night time feeding so he grabbed his sippy  cup and laid down with them. It was the cutest!!

On July 2, 2015 went on a tour of the Braums factory. If you haven't heard, their ice cream is the BEST!!! The tour was just okay, we did learn that Braums makes their own ice cream cones and their own milk jugs. Pretty cool stuff! We got a big group picture after in front of the cow bus.
(Karl, Kathy, James, Shawnee, Asher, Kara, Karri, Grant, Cheri, Christine, Tate, Tatyanna, Darcy, Payton, Leah, Isla, Emmy, Hope, Dina, Ann Marie, Nathan, Nichole, Striling, Josh, Remington, Max, Matthew, Kylie, and Logan)

Summer Field Trip: Turner Falls

On 6/4/15 we went to Turner Falls. It is one of my favorite State Parks in Oklahoma! It is green and lush and oh so beautiful! A little background on Turner Falls before I get to the details of our trip. I pulled this from their website (www.turnerfallspark.com),

"Turner Falls Park is nestled below the famous Arbuckle Mountains
and forms Honey Creek, which then cascades down a
seventy-seven (77) foot fall to a natural swimming
pool making the majestic Turner Falls the largest
waterfall in Oklahoma. The Park has been a
recreational area since 1868 as it is accented
with beautiful picnic areas, nature trails, caves,
geological wonders, and two natural swimming
pools very unique in nature."

Unfortunately the waterfall was closed due to flooding. We were fortunate enough to have my sis-in-law Karri join us from Texas (YAY!!!). When we got to Turner Falls we changed into our swimsuits and hit the river, the kids enjoyed floating down the river.

After we played in the water for awhile we had lunch and then set off to hick up to the castle ruins. Although Remingon decided he didn't want to walk so I ended up having to carry both babies. Oh the joys of mamahood!

[Hollis riding in the backpack.]

[Remington playing in the castle, he loved it so much.]

[We LOVE Granny!!]

We had a lot of fun and can't wait for our next field trip! Until then y'all should check out Turner Falls!

Girls Night

Just a quick note about girls night that we had last night. We went to the Stillwater High School production of Beauty and the Beast. It was AMAZING!! The performers had such amazing talent. Lumiere was my favorite! He such a fun role and his joke were hilarious! I cannot wait for the new Beauty and the Beast movie to come out.

Here's a picture of me and my two nieces Leah and Isla.

Call me mama

You know the saying "don't cry other spilt milk"? Well I've never cried over milk but I cried over pumped breast milk and formula spilling. But mostly I cry when my baby throws up half the bottle I just made. I cry seeing him in pain from his acid reflux. He bares his burden with a smile. He is stronger than me. I love this boy and I don't know what I would do without him. He helps make me a better mama every day.

Today was not an easy day with my toddler. After dealing with a pee out all over me he decided to help by pouring my drink all over me. I was so frustrated and stressed. He just looked at me patted the wet spots on my pants, gave my legs a hug, and smiled up at me. It's so hard to stay upset at his sweet smiling face. He really is a joy to have around, even on his ornery days. He can turn any day around and bright up a room with his smiles. He made me a mommy and I wouldn't trade him for the world.

A day off...

Mom's don't get days off. Not from doing the laundry, or the dishes, or wiping noses, or kissing boo-boos. Motherhood is never ending. And I'm fine with that, I love my boys! But some days I would just like to pee in private or eat a warm meal. I recently started a babysitting job, I watch a four-year old during the day and then pick up her sister and two aunts from school. I do this Tuesday-Friday. I've been doing it for a week now, and some days have been harder than others, at one point I wanted to yell at myself for taking the job, but then I remember it actually is making my life easier.

How?

My 18 month old has someone to play with during the day. (Which allows me to pee by myself. Yay! 😝) I can have a somewhat actually conversation with someone during the day. And when the big girls are home they help out with the 2 month old so I can finish dinner. So far I haven't gone anywhere with all 6 kids but I have 3 and for some reason it is just easier. When I figure out why I'll let you know.

My sister recently started a blog and she had a post about organizing your car.
(It's a great post and everyone should go check it out.)

I decided to follow her lead and get my car a little more organized. So far I've only gotten a box set up for the little bear cubs in my life.

I picked up this cute tub from Walmart today.

Here's the inside of my tub.
1. Carters onesie and gap footed pants (2 month old)
2. Gap jumper (18 month old)
1. Teething necklace
2. A bunch of six 4 and size 1 diapers
3. Baby wipes
 1. Extra pacifier
2. Contact solution (for me)
3. Hair band (for me)
4. Baby lotion
5. Extra can of formula
6. Walmart bags for blow outs and dirty diapers
7. Toy rattle
8. Toy tiger
9. Owl toy
10. Pig Kahuna by Jennifer Sattler
 And there you have it!

When I have extra money to spend I don't usually spend it on myself, but today I did. I got myself some white chuck Taylor's that I had been wanting. Oh, and I saved $9 at Old Navy today!

Hope y'all have a good day!

The past 6 weeks

Hollis lost too much weight after leaving the hospital so we had to go to weight checks every week for the first three weeks. Everything is going well and Remington really loves his baby brother. Here are a bunch of pictures in no particular order.
