October 17th - 21. Remington and I went on a road trip with my parents and younger siblings to Florida to see my sister and her cute family. It was fun getting to see her, Jimmy, and Sam. We did some shopping and went to the beach. I put Remington's little toes in the water and he actually liked it! I thought he would cry but no my lil man is not a cry baby :)
On Sunday Sam was blessed. It was such a beautiful day.
Well on the 10th my lil' man turned one week old! I cannot believe how fast time is going. Remington is the BEST little boy! He sleeps 4-5 hours at night and hardly ever cries. And to top it off he smiles ALL.THE.TIME. I just love his little face to death! We have been very blessed with an easy [and not to mention cute :)] and well tempered baby. To celebrate we had lunch with aunt Christine and her kiddoes.
So my first post should probably be about our dating and wedding, but I'm gonna save that for our anniversary. This post will be about my pregnancy, labor, and of course our new addition to the family...Remington!
I don't have much to say about the pregnancy. I don't have any crazy stories and I didn't have any sickness or problems. I craved ice cream, apples, grape tomatoes, and pickles {2nd trimester only}.
At 39 weeks and 2 days we went to the hospital at 4 am {that's right...4 a freakin' clock in the morning!} to be induced. They started everything right away and around 5:30 they broke my water. Around 9 I decided that I couldn't take the pain of contractions any more so I tried some pain meds...they didn't help. So I got an epidural. Which was AMAZING! Once it kicked in I slept for 2 hours and then I was kinda in and out of it til it was time to push. Before the epidural I was at 2 cm, after my nap I was at 7 cm, and 20 minutes later I was at 9.5 cm! Things probably would have kept going fast, but my child is stubborn and got stuck. The doctor had me push for a while and then we took a break so I could regain my energy. An hour and 2 grape popsicles later, we started pushing again. Once his head came out, the rest of him just slipped right out. He weighed in at 8 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. He's a BIG boy!! But he is worth all the pain and lost sleep. We are so in love with him and couldn't be happier!
Logan was amazing through the whole labor. He was very supportive and I know I couldn't have done it with out him. He is already an amazing daddy to our lil' man! He loves taking pictures of Remington {which is good cause I wasn't up for getting up to take a bunch}.
And now for all the pictures!
